Formed in Como, Italy, in 2009, **Wicked Asylum** cemented their lineup in 2015, quickly establishing themselves as a prominent female-fronted act within the European metal scene. They have graced stages across Northern Italy and Europe, earning a reputation for their powerful live performances. The band has performed at clubs and festivals in Germany, Slovenia, and Switzerland, sharing the stage with notable acts such as MaYaN, Eternal Idol (Fabio Lione), Null Positiv, Crisix, and Cellar Darling, among many others.

In 2016, they released their debut EP, Rebirth , along with two music videos for the tracks “In My Soul” and “Silent Watchers.” Their success continued with a highly successful crowdfunding campaign in December 2018 for their first full-length album, reaching 150% of their goal and selling over 80 copies in pre-orders.

Their debut album, **Out of the Mist**, was released on February 21, 2020. To promote the album, they released three official music videos for “Split,” “Threnody,” and “Sun Will Rise.” The album quickly garnered thousands of streams on Spotify and sold over 130 physical and digital copies in its first few days.

After the pandemic-related hiatus, Wicked Asylum resumed live activities in Italy and released their highly anticipated second full-length album, Kintsugi, on September 29, 2023, via Ad Noctem Records.

*Kintsugi* is a deeply personal and metaphorical album. Named after the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, the album symbolizes the process of embracing a new version of oneself after being broken. Recorded and mastered at Twilight Studio in Senago under the expert guidance of Davide Tavecchia, *Kintsugi* is a journey through the desolation of the human mind, highlighting the strength to overcome adversity and the importance of human connection. It’s a defiant cry against personal challenges and the loneliness of pain.

Released in both digipack and digital formats, *Kintsugi* has so far received overwhelmingly positive reviews and enthusiastic feedback from fans at their live shows.
