“So Haggard and so Woe Begone” is the debut album of the Italian band Ashen Fields, a group led by Jacopo and made up of very young and promising musicians. 

What stands out in the lyrics is introspection, analyzing what makes us suffer and processing it through music, with nostalgic and escapist feelings. 

The reference imagery is that of 19th-century Romanticism/Decadentism, with poets like Keats and Baudelaire.
