Abbinormal is an Italian grindcore/death metal band.

Formed in 1996 and reformed in 2017, the band is known for its brutal, aggressive, and psychotic sound. Their music blends the fierce speed of grindcore with the dark power of death metal, all enriched by gothic or unsettling atmospheres created by the use of keyboards. Their roots lie in the crossover scene of the ’90s, with a satirical and irreverent attitude.

After releasing the albums 1996 (2019) and Grind Hotel (2023), they have established themselves in the Italian underground metal scene. Their early style was inspired by the crossover philosophy of S.O.D., featuring short, direct, and ironic songs.

The band’s style is also defined as “Hellcore.”
